We are here to do Regenerative Tourism. This means making sure our business has a positive impact on the environment, our community and the people we engage with. The income from Ecotone Cabins goes into developing and supporting our other projects at Leckmelm Wood. These projects include a pioneering Woodland Croft, an accredited Outdoor Children's Nursery and an Ecological Timber Building company. We are striving to develop Leckmelm Wood as an inspiring exemplar for lower impact, environmentally conscientious, and community-engaged enterprise and land management. We want to lead by example by demonstrating alternative models for living, in ways that improve the health and prosperity of our environment and all that inhabit it.

Bespoke - Architecturally designed and custom build by our own ecological timber building business, North Woods Construction. From concept to completion, these are our dream cabins made real.

Comfortable - Clean, warm, safe and beautiful timber cabins. Compact but open spaces with an emphasis on simplicity, calmness and connectedness. Built with breathing timber walls and focus on natural materials, for buildings that are healthy for you and the environment.

Well Equipped - Everything you need for real cooking, entertainment, quality relaxation and good sleep. Comprehensively equipped and outfitted with high quality furnishing & linens. The cabins have big porch spaces for outdoor gear storage, drying space, washing machine and a bike/kit wash station. We have fast 22kW EV charging on site.

Environmentally Aware - Designed, built and run to minimize negative impacts on the living world and all that call it home. Built using local sustainable timber, sheep wool & wood fibre insulation, renewable heating systems, in-house carbon offsetting, low impact consumable products and refillable ecological bathroom and cleaning products.

Family Friendly and equipped for wee ones. Crib, high chair, baby changing station, potty, toilet step, infant crockery and cutlery.

Great location - The North West Highlands has a lot to offer. We live here and take most of our holidays here too! Let us help you find the experiences that will make your holiday fantastic. We are adventurers, and we want to help you with yours.

Remote Working - Our cabins offer fast Wi-Fi suitable for video calls and we can supply a comfortable computer chair, so you can catch up on work while enjoying the beautiful veiws.

Connected - High speed broadband, provided by Highland Community Broadband
Generally around ~37Mbps Download ~18Mbps Upload
4G Mobile signal on most networks.

Accessibility - The cabins have flat ground level access on a single floor and the entrance ways to the main living, cooking and dining area have good access. The cabins are built as compact living spaces and so regretfully they are not fully wheelchair accessible and do have limitations to their general accessibility.

All are welcome here.
