5.26pm So that is a wrap from Lord's. Another emphatic England victory, and another stunning display from the new Lord of Lord's, Gus Atkinson. It takes something to muscle Joe Root off the Player-of-the-Match award after twin hundreds, but he takes the biscuit after a frankly startling start to his international career. From Miller, Madushka, Ekanth, Ranjith and the team, thanks for joining us, see you at The Oval next week!

5.16pm Time for some presentations. The Player of the Match was a close call between two England players, plus Asitha Fernando. But Gus Atkinson trumps Joe Root with a century and his third five-for in four innings.

"I couldn't have asked for much more, to get on both honours boards is incredible, will take a while to sink in, batting alongside Root was special in the first innings. Dad I'm sure has had a great week. My first red-ball games at Lord's have gone my way, I enjoy bowling with the slope, long may it continue. The way we go about the game, we like to attack, and it's great to attack without worrying about runs."

Dhananjaya de Silva: "We had two days to bat, bat simple and bat long [was the message]. England are always putting pressure back on us, we haven't been good enough to win in England. I could have batted first, but I had to give them a breather and let them see how the pitch would play, but that didn't work. Kamindu has been awesome in every innings except the last innings here. Gets runs quickly which is a positive sign at No.7. We have to do better to get a win in England, we have to be at our best."

Ollie Pope: "Really happy to get to 2-0 up, some special performances and good contributions. This week was very different to last in terms of modes of dismissal. Had to get creative and find different catching positions, Rooty gave us a big lead, so could get funky in the field. Reviews aren't quite going my way but I'd rather use them! Massive contributions from Gus and Potts, an extra 120 runs gives you a really good position, those runs are a bonus down the order. [Follow-on] we knew the pitch was getting worse, but more important to give bowlers time off their feet. [Bad light] we gave the spin a crack, but we knew how important the new ball was, they get pretty soft after 30 overs. Oval next week, always a special Test, a few Surrey boys in the changing room. Should be a great week."

5.08pm Hello again, so Sri Lanka succumb to defeat at Lord's - defeat in London, even - for the first time since 1991, and they've surrendered the series too. As Sampath notes, it's a rare spell of home dominance unfolding this summer.

"First time England won five consecutive Test matches at home since winning six in a row across 2011 (4 vs IND) and 2012 (2 vs WI). The last instance of England winning five straight Tests in the same home season was back in 2004, where they won all seven played (3 vs NZ and 4 vs WI)."

Thomas Davey: "First time since 2017 that Eng have won both tests at Lords"

Alex K: "That list just shows that there never has been 'the new Botham'. "

Eye of Sauron: "Mary Duggan and Enid Bakewell have also scored a century and taken a five wicket haul for England in the same test. Bakewell did it thrice. "

5.03pm So Sri Lanka stretched it out a bit, but the result was always inevitable. There were promising knocks from Dimuth Karunaratne, Dinesh Chandimal and Dhananjaya de Silva, but none were able to push that to anything more substantial. England's bowlers, particular the seamers, stuck to their plans patiently and eventually it paid off. The star of the innings was Gus Atkinson, who had a five-wicket haul to go with his first innings ton; it'll be between him and Root for player of the match. The 190-run margin meanwhile showcases England's dominance, but Sri Lanka did have their moments - and lessons will have been learned. Miller will jump in now for the post-match pleasantries.

Woakes to Lahiru Kumara, OUT

Is this is it? Yes it is! England win by 190 runs! Kumara backs away and looks to swing this away, but only manages to sky it straight up. Mid-on settles under it and completes the catch and a comprehensive win.

As Sampath notes, Gus Atkinson becomes only the third England player to score a hundred and take a five-fer in the same men's Test. Also the first since England player with the double since Ian Botham in 1984.

Gus gets the last laugh! Five-for to go with a century at Lord's. This was short of a length angling away from off, Rathnayake goes for the pull but only manages a tickle through to Smith
