About this event

The Collaborative Experience Conference is hosted by the stakeholders of the Collaborative Plan and facilitated by the Minnesota Commission of the Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing. The Collaborative Plan is a network of agencies, schools, and organizations that work together to create positive, systemic changes to achieve better education and career outcomes for students who are deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing.

Stakeholders of the Collaborative Plan include but is not limited to: Metro and Rural Teachers for Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing, BrightWorks (EHDI, MN DeafBlind Project and MN Statewide Regional Low-Incidence Facilitators), Metro Deaf School, MN Association of Deaf Citizens, MN Department of Employment and Economic Development, MN Department of Health, MN Department of Human Services, MN Hands and Voices, MN State Academies, MN State Services for the Blind, MN Department of Education, Northern Voices, PACER, MN Commission of the Deaf, DeafBlind and Hard of Hearing, and University of Minnesota - Deaf Education Teacher Preparation Program.

The Collaborative Experience Conference has been provided for parents and professionals since 2015, after it was identified as a high priority need during a statewide survey. The Collaborative Experience Conference is dedicated to providing the most recent resources, professional development, and collaboration amongst Minnesota's teachers and professionals serving students who are deaf, deafblind, and hard of hearing as well as families.
