THE JOURNEY OF A CHRISTIAN
“As your days, so shall your strength be.” – Deut 33:25
The ultimate goal for senior golfers is to shoot their age. In other words, an ‘age shooter’ is a golfer whose score matches or betters his age. For example, a golfer of age 70 who shoots a 70 or better has ‘shot his age’. By this criterion, I should be over a 100 years old. But you and I needn’t feel bad, the percentage of golfers who shoot their age is 0.0000089%, or less than 9 per million.
This makes me think of the blessing that Moses gave to the tribe of Asher, and to us, when he said, “your strength will equal your days.” In other words, ‘I will give you enough strength to cope with every stage of your life’.
