    As I approach an area with good stag sign, I watch Tess to see how she reacts.

    I hunt at other times as well but nothing else comes close to this. Preparation starts months before as I go through gear lists and try to convince myself I need the latest upgrade of some item or another.

    I have hunted one particular area for many years now and find this to be a very effective strategy as I’ve learned a lot about animal movements and patterns and where the good bush and feeding areas are located.
