The Retro Hunter

Running a retro gaming shop in today’s market certainly isn’t easy, but Ally Hogg has done an impressive job in the last few years. In fact, The Retro Hunter store has proven to be such a success, Ally has also branched out into running an arcade as well. Here, he tells us how it all happened.

How did the name The Retro Hunter come about?

I was a collector for many years and used to post pictures on Twitter of all the things I’d found. Back then, I didn’t have anything so it was all new to me, and someone said I was like ‘The Retro Hunter’. I liked that, so I took it as my
