PART 1 Six Weeks on the Road

From late January through the month of February I spent a good bit of time, pursuing numismatic ties, on the road with the Audi. It started with a drive down to Milwaukee, followed by an outing out to Fargo, and then additional jaunts to Wausau, Oshkosh and Madison in Wisconsin.

The drive down to Milwaukee was on the third Thursday of January to attend the 1,023rd monthly meeting of the Milwaukee Numismatic Society (MNS). Though I’ve been a MNS member for many years, I typically find occasion to attend a meeting perhaps only two or three times a year. On this occasion I was drawn to do so by the receipt in the mail a few days earlier of a generous unsolicited funding donation in support of establishing a Chester L. “Chet” Krause Legacy Park, presently under development here in Iola, one that I wanted to personally acknowledge.
