Elizabeth Taylor was born in London and lived there as a child. In her special she returns to the city and gives her impressions of, and reactions to, the mosaic of London and Londoners she encounters during her visit. It’s a fascinating period piece, as is Sophia Loren’s visit to Rome, in a show never seen in the UK.
