SURPRISE CHURCHGOERS
TAFF AT ST Edmundsbury Cathedral in Bury St Edmunds have welcomed breeding black redstarts () to the cathedral grounds. Black redstarts are a protected species owing to there being fewer than 50 breeding pairs in the UK. The birds are nesting in an area called The Yard which forms part of a social action project for young people. Summer activities have been moved to give the birds a chance to breed in peace.
