started breeding horses in the early 1970s. I didn’t breed Cornish Gold, the horse on whom I won Olympic team gold in 1972, but I had his sister Tregea. She bred Cornish Faer, the grandmother of Lordships Graffalo, who was second at Badminton this year with Ros Canter and who has been selected for the World Championships in Pratoni. Lordships Graffalo is only 10, quite young to do so well.
