WHERE WOULD the heritage of our country be without the dedication of volunteers? Nothing serves to answer that question better than the Chilterns Open Air Museum in Buckinghamshire. For without the foresight of the 200 volunteers who launched the museum in 1976 more than 30 historic buildings and countless ways of life of our forefathers would have been demolished and lost forever.
The work goes on today with no funding from outside other than some Lottery Heritage Fund
