After carrying out attacks on 13 helpless babies, nasty nurse Beverley Allitt simply smirked and laughed whilst under interrogation.

In 1991, the British paediatric nurse seemingly doted over the defenceless babies in the children’s ward at Grantham and Kesteven Hospital in Lincolnshire, UK. In reality, she was committing the most evil of crimes.

Claiming her first victim in February 1991, Allitt injected 8-week-old Liam Taylor with a large and lethal dose of insulin. She then killed three more infants and injured nine others.

The sudden spike in infant mortalities in the ‘doomed’ Ward 4 sparked an urgent investigation – and Allitt was the only nurse on duty when all the attacks occurred.
