SEATING AND POOL AREA

The seating space is partially enclosed within a wooden frame that echoes the lines of the nearby Aztec pyramid. ‘The stepped timber is a contemporary approach to a pyramid,’ architect Mauricio Ceballos explains. Respecting the natural and the cultural environment was at the heart of the project. ‘Not a single tree, branch or root was touched,’ says Mauricio.

‘The design was intended to blend with nature. This continuous dialogue between the interior and the exterior erases physical limits,’ says architect Mauricio.
