CINDERFORD CBS intends to hold an open show on October 29 in the hall at Drybrook Social Club, Drybrook Road, Drybrook, Gloucestershire GL17 9JA. Further details for the show will be announced in due course. It is with deep regret that the club’s president Micky Blewitt passed away in February, therefore the show will be in memory of him. EASTERN FEDERATION OF BRITISH BIRD FANCIERS memorial show to the late president Steve Dix will take place on March 12 at Risby Village Hall, Risby, Bury St Edmunds IP28 6RT. The show opens to the public from 1pm. Judges engaged are: hardbills, Mark Jones and Ewan Stevens; mules and hybrids, Derek Smith; softbills, Jason Jermy; Norwich canaries, B. Rayfield.

Essex Birds will have a trade stand. Anyone wanting to show and needs a schedule, visit the club’s Facebook page or contact the show secretary Robb Brown on 07799 762 120.

GATESHEAD & NEWCASTLE BS after a successful 2022 show when 434 budgerigars were entered, the Gateshead & Newcastle BS 2023 show will be held on September 2 in Swalwell Community Centre. Further information with regards the show will be announced as and when.

Judges engaged for 2023 are: Adrian Richards, Geoff Tuplin, Ken Brockwelll, Senior stewards: Keith Allison, Jim Bowey, Ray Rogerson. Show secretary, Brian Batey: show manager. Paul Retford.
