What was your motivation behind publishing Becoming Us?

JAKE: For years we’ve been asked to do a memoir, and for years we’ve declined because we were worried about it being too exposing. But we got to a point where things are so toxic within British culture for trans people, and we felt that what really needed to happen was for trans people to start being humanised within the media in any way possible.
