Q: I get so sad when my favorite fruits are out of season. Any ideas?

One option is to go with frozen: Most off-season fruits (frozen at, major multitaskers that are available all year long. Large, juicy and tart, they won’t get mushy in your bag like peaches, and they can be used in cobblers and other baked goods. Try these crowd-pleasing apple nachos: Cut apples into thin wedges and arrange on a platter, drizzle with almond butter mixed with a little water until thin and sprinkle the whole heap with mini chocolate chips or nuts. Kids especially love this healthy treat.
