MY FAMILY has always been big on capturing moments and memories together. I have an aunt who still holds a very large and impressive collection of old photo albums of my siblings, cousins and me growing up. Our cheesy smiles in our annual school snaps or chocolate-covered faces at birthday parties are common features in many a photograph.

With the rise of social media, many people have moved to sharing photos on various platforms for the whole world to see. I know this has caused some anxiety for parents.

Should moms and dads be concerned about putting their kids at risk by creating a social media presence for them? Should children be left to decide what to post on their own once they’re old enough?
