GULLS HEAD NORTH

IN 2023, TWO pairs of Mediterranean gulls () hatched chicks in Scotland for) colony. Both pairs hatched chicks, but none fledged. Officers at the reserve believe that this was owing to a shortage of earthworms following a drought. This species has visited the reserve in the past, but this is the first time that it has been recorded breeding.
