“NEW PLAYERS DO NOT NEED TO HARD SELL THE CONCEPT OF MFs”

BALASUBRAMANIAN, MD & CEO of Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC, has spent more than three decades in the Indian mutual fund (MF) industry, which is currently seeing heightened traction both in terms of new players coming in and rising assets under management (AUM). The 58-year-old tells Business Today that new players will help expand the market but will not be able to disrupt the sector in a big way, given the product and distribution mix of the large existing fund houses.
