Underhand tactics

Rugby is largely devoid of the silly antics seen in football, and the top players make fine role models. But let’s not get complacent. In the Champions Cup semi at Croke Park, we saw two examples of gamesmanship that our game would be better rid of. Both involved Jamison Gibson-Park.

First, he passed the ball directly at Curtis Langdon from a ruck, even though the Saints hooker was crawling on his hands and knees and wasn’t in the natural passing line.
