feel unsure whether to admit this but after 40 years of boating, I decided to do a Powerboat Level 2 (PB2) course. I felt it was time to refresh my knowledge and to snuff out any bad habits. But the PB2 certificate is seen as the RYA’s minimum standard for powerboat skippers, so was it really appropriate for a seasoned boater like myself?
