Tauranga is rapidly overtaking Hamilton as the fourth largest city in New Zealand, and obviously a city of more than 161,000 people has many attractions and services catering for the needs of locals and visitors alike. It houses the largest port in the country, and as well as an attractive harbour, is close to miles of beautiful white sand beaches adjoining residential suburbs such as Mount Maunganui and Papamoa Beach. There are also many options for walking and cycling plus an impressive array of restaurants, bars and cafés. There are also hidden and not-sohidden spaces that visitors may not always be aware of.
