Divorce was something that happened to other people, not to my parents or siblings or to me. That’s what I thought before I lost the life I loved, and it happened seemingly overnight. Suddenly I was living alone in an apartment. I hadn’t seen trouble coming or noticed my wife’s unhappiness. I wasn’t aware that our marriage had been slowly slipping away.
