How did an upbringing in Sarajevo during the Bosnian War shape your character?

Growing up in wartime and besieged Sarajevo certainly toughened me up, even in the early stages of childhood. Those experiences that I went through during the war, as a boy, had a big impact on me. I learned to appreciate life because it’s the only thing we have, and as long as we’re all healthy and alive, every situation can be corrected, repaired and done in a different way.
