About this audiobook
It’s leaf-peeping season in Naneda, New York, and Agnes Blythe has settled into helping her eccentric Great Aunt Effie restore the Stagecoach Inn. It seems nothing can shatter the golden idyll—or the ka-ching of cash registers—until a mechanic at Hatch Automotive is found bludgeoned to death with a wrench.
Sweeping into action, Agnes and Aunt Effie are on the scene, when a tourist-laden motor coach breaks down outside of town. The Stagecoach Inn isn’t exactly ready for guests, but Agnes and Effie agree to take in a group of seniors while they wait for repairs. But then, Agnes finds herself pulled into the investigation when she learns her new boyfriend, gorgeous Otis Hatch, is the Naneda Police Department’s prime suspect.
With bodies falling faster than the foliage, Agnes must leaf through the more viable suspects and clear Otis’s name of murder in Bad Neighbors, the charming second Agnes and Effie mystery from national bestselling author Maia Chance.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really enjoyed this book. It's the second one I've read. As a fellow Washingtonian, I'm always proud when another one of us makes it big. I'm looking forward you your next book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Perfect blend of cozy mystery with a touch of absurdity.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5FINALLY COZY MYSTERIES THAT SHOW COPS AS USELESS POWER ABUSERS! Both of the books in the series (2 total as of this review) portray cops in this way and I'm just DYING for more! Also, the protagonist and her great aunt are adorable and the narrator is perfection with comedic timing. I really hope more books in this series will follow!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent story! Well written and funny. And the narrator’s reading is perfect! Her voice is well suited for the characters and she utters humorous lines in just the right tone to make them hilarious:
I looked like the least favorite wife of a polygamist.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I listened to this audiobook in one day and used cleaning as an excuse (my kids rooms haven't been that tidy in ages) because I just couldn't stop listening. I love Agnes and Effy. Sometimes I had to rewind because I laughed so loudly that I couldn't hear the next sentences. Also, the narrator is fantastic, mimicking and making the appropriate background noises (smoking, stuttering, ect) ... I hope that there will be a third book soon, hopefully with the same fantastic narrator
