    Readers find this title to be a wonderful story with twists and turns, love and romance, and untold history. The multiple timelines and points of view add to the enjoyment, and the prose is lyrical at times. The characters, particularly Margaret and Augusta, are well-developed and their dynamics are intriguing. The narration is great, and many readers are looking forward to reading more books by Hester Fox. Overall, this book is excellent and highly recommended.

      Fantastic! I loved the multiple timelines and POV's. The prose is very lyrical at times. That epilogue was heartbreaking but so beautiful!

      It was an interesting story, helped pass the time. I liked that Margaret was not dulled down to be an acceptable woman. Margaret’s boldness balanced out with Augusta was a meekness. I would have enjoyed the whole book from Margaret’s perspective.
