About this audiobook
When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre kills a wolf in the woods, a terrifying creature arrives to demand retribution. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she knows about only from legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not truly a beast, but one of the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled her world.
At least, he's not a beast all the time.
As she adapts to her new home, her feelings for the faerie, Tamlin, transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But something is not right in the faerie lands. An ancient, wicked shadow is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it, or doom Tamlin-and his world-forever.

What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a mixed bag. Many praise the immersive experience of the audio book, with different narrators for each character and sound effects. The story is described as great for fans of romance and fantasy, with an interesting overarching plot. However, some readers found the details confusing and disliked the main character, Feyre. They also had mixed opinions on the romance and wished for more scare and less smut. Overall, the audio book version is highly recommended, but opinions on the actual book are more divided.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Incredible. I've never listened to a dramatized adaption before and I'd like to never go back. The voices, the sound effects, the music. It's wonderful. I think the voices fit the characters perfectly for the most part, but look forward to part 2 for more of Rhys to really know because I wasn't too sold on his VA yet. But I'm sure I will be all for him soon enough.

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Overall I really like the idea of this. Definitely adds to the experience of the story. My only disappointment was with Rhys. The voice didn’t feel like it matched with the description of him.

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5This review is for all 3 books.
Don't like the dramatized version. Sound tracks are off-putting, sudden and loud at times. From 2nd book onwards opted out to regular audio version.
Annnd story is not so great either, to me. It is not a proper epic or a romance. Just a mish-mash. World building was good, awesome in fact , hence 3 stars. Story became too mushy for a war background. 3rd book was too dragged out. - Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Dramatized audio books are THE LITERAL WORST!!!!
Talk too fast
Disjointed locations of voices
Sounds are too extreme, sudden, and frankly dumb.
Who thought making books like this was a good idea? I’ll stick with the regular one. Better narrator too. - Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Not as good as Throne of Glass series by Maas.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loveeed it! I love this series and been able to listen the audiobook is amazing, love the voices and soundefects!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This was truly a masterpiece 10/10 would recommend has everything you could possibly want in a book
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I absolutely ? ♥️ love this dramatized audiobook . Audiobooks will never be the same after this. And of course, I love this series. Even though I thought I would hate it, I am now a huge fan of both.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved this so much what I expected and more
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love the whole series. Some of the sound effects are kind of odd. But I love the dramatization.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Pronunciations are off and the sound effect used for magical appearances/disappearances sound like a wet fart which is off putting
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved every minute! I can't wait to get into the next one.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The voice acting was so amazing! I've already ready the books twice, and this just added another layer to the story I didn't know I needed. Highly recommend. Now onto part 2!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved revisiting this series this way! So much fun hearing these characters come to life!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Loved it!!! It made feel like I was really inside the book, perfect for my annual reread.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The perfect book and the 2nd is even better. I loveeee
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love the fact it is so easy to lose myself in the graphic audio! I wish more audiobooks were this way!!
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5This graphic audio narration is terrible. I listened to the original version of this and it’s much better. Usually I really like Graphic audio but the selection of the main character narration sounds too young and immature for my tastes. Tamlin and Lucien didn’t sound that great either. I couldn’t get through this, just get the recorded books version narrated by Jennifer Ikeda instead.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Its SJM.... what's not to love!!! I loved the characters voices and the dramatization of this
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Creative and different, had me hooked within the first couple chapters.. I hope to see the adapted onto screen soon.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The voice actors struggled with a weak script to be sure, but the worst crime is the delivery of British-coded lines written for a British-coded high fantasy in American-style AI-adjacent voice acting. I’ve read ample amounts of un-betaed fan fiction that had more care for tone and class-conscious dialogue connotation than whatever the hell this was. The painful Americanness only served to highlight how little the actors had to work with. Cringe on the writer’s and producer’s part. Good sound engineering, though. 10/10 for them
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Beautiful <3 it really false like a movie in your head
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I don’t recommend reading if you can’t stand cheating. If cheating won’t bother you much, then you may end up enjoying the book.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5very exciting adventure! I need to find the next book?
and when listening to the story you had great actors! - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This really is worth all the hype I see everywhere!
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Im not a fan of this book. Yikes to Tamlin and Lucien, they make me cringe every damn time . And I hate how Nesta, Elain and their father treats Feyre. I wouldn’t wish for that kind of sisters and father.
