About this audiobook

In this “enthralling, unforgettable” (Gregg Olsen, #1 New York Times bestselling author) psychological suspense novel, a woman suffering from memory loss begins to wonder just how much she can trust the people who claim to love her—perfect for fans of the page-turning thrillers by Robyn Harding and Lisa Jewell.

Marine biologist Kyra Winthrop remembers nothing about the diving accident that left her with a complex form of memory loss. With only brief flashes of the last few years of her life, her world has narrowed to a few neighbors on the island where she lives with her devoted husband.

But when Kyra begins having visions—or are they memories?—of a rocky marriage, broken promises, and cryptic relationships with the island residents she believes to be her friends, she can’t help but wonder if her new life is all a carefully constructed lie.

As Kyra races to uncover her past, it soon becomes clear that the truth is a terrifying nightmare. “Filled with buried secrets and unexpected turns, The Twilight Wife is a twisty, edge of your seat story that’s impossible to put down” (Kimberly Belle, author of The Marriage Lie).

What our readers think

Readers find this title to have a great plot with original ideas and awesome twists. The vivid descriptions of scenes and characters are also appreciated. Some readers enjoyed the flashbacks and the solid twists that they didn't see coming. However, there were some who felt that the book fell flat in the middle and had noticeable holes in the story line. The narrators' take on the voices was also a point of criticism. Overall, the book is entertaining with its twists and turns, but some readers found it slow-paced and frustrating at times.

Great story but didn’t love the narrators take on the voices. Totally changed the way the main character comes across.

A terrible diving accident leaves one woman with memory loss. She relies on her devoted husband to help her as she struggles to piece together her past. However it seems someone is messing with the pieces, with the truth, with her life. I'm pretty sure this was a lifetime movie.

Surprise twist but with a happy ending! highly recommend! some slow sections and would have like to see some other character development but overall I'd recommend.

I liked the characters and even though I had it figured out early I enjoyed the whole book a lot. Will read this author again :)

There were some solid twists that I didn't see coming, although the foreshadowing had me ready for *something* to happen. The majority was a little slow then crescendo'd big and fast at the end, but overall I enjoyed it.

I didn’t think this story was believable. There are some inconsistencies and flaws that I couldn’t except as true

It was good. Not great but not bad. The main characters and their interactions were frustrating, but by the time I got to the end, I believe that the author made them intentionally frustrating so I can score the book on artistic intent at the very least. There are noticeable holes in the story line that could have been better developed. All in all it was entertaining but I had the mystery figured out before it was revealed. I'd hate to give it 3 stars only but it's not quite 4 either as far as good writing goes.
