About this audiobook

A perfectionist maid of honor and a carefree, surfer-bro best man team up to plan a wedding and end up finding a spark of their own in the first audio original from author duo Christina Lauren, a full-cast sequel to their New York Times bestseller The Unhoneymooners.

Ami is determined to break the Torres family wedding curse. Her own disaster of a reception ended with all the guests getting food poisoning, and she left her cheating husband soon after. But even though she’s still processing her own divorce, Ami won’t let her twin sister Olive’s day be anything but perfect. Olive may think she wants a private ceremony in Maui, where she and her fiancé Ethan first fell in love, but Ami knows better and secretly flies the whole Torres family out to surprise the couple. Now she and her meticulously organized binder have less than two weeks to get everything together for the big day, thousands of miles from home.

Enter Brody, Ethan’s best man, who happens to be living in Maui and insists on helping with the preparations. His playfully elaborate schemes and happy-go-lucky attitude are the last thing Ami needs. When sparks start to fly, could it derail all her carefully laid plans?

Equal parts hilarious and swoon-worthy, this full-cast production is your ticket to the ultimate destination wedding, bringing to life both a captivating couple and an unforgettable family. The Honeymoon Crashers is Christina Lauren at their charming, hilarious best.

What our readers think

Readers find this title to be a light-hearted and funny book, especially enjoyable for Hispanic readers. The narration is phenomenal and enhances the experience. However, some readers found the characters whiney and annoying, and the acting in the audio version cringy. It was a little disappointing that not every part of the book was narrated by the full cast / the two people who did the main characters.

Nonetheless, cute little story and a nice sequel to Unhoneymooners.

Cute story. I love this author. The audio was a journey. I don’t think I liked it. It was too much like hearing a play being acted out rather than a book being read. It distracted from the story.

Kind of cringey at times, but an easy listen! And very cute if you’ve read the First book :)

Really great follow up to the unhoneymooners. Absolutely loved how most of it was read. Real treat. Loved how it sounded like you were listening to a play. Only confusing that it would stop mid chapter and go back to the regular narration. That got hard to track. Listening for other voices and then there were none.

This was so cute! It’s definitely more of a novella feel, not a full novel. The narration was done very well, I love a good full cast narration. Definitely recommend for fans of The Honeymoon Crashers!

Loved this and how it was recorded totally elevated the story!!

The narration for this book was phenomenal! It really carried it quite a bit. I think that if I had read this book as a physical copy, it would’ve completely bombed. It’s a pretty straightforward romance with just the slightest bit of angst at the beginning that quickly resolves. For that reason, there wasn’t much of an obstacle to overcome or a conflict to keep the reader interested. The only saving grace was that the narration was done as if you were listening to a movie, complete with some background sound effects.

This is book 2/2 of this small series. If you are looking for a light hearted yet funny as hell book...this book is for you! Bonus points if you are Hispanic as you will relate to everything and everyone!

My first immersive audio and I loved it. Since I loved the Unhoneymooners it was a real treat to see Olive and Ethan get married and for Mia to finally get her HEA too.

The characters were so whiney and annoying. I listened to the audio version and the M/F narrators tried acting out parts of the book instead of reading it as written and it was soooo cringy and uncomfortable to listen through. Unless you were really passionate about Amy getting her own relationship at the end of the last book, feel free to skip this one.

I CAN NOT say enough about Christina Lauren & this book. She's AMAZING! The story was so stinkin' cute, funny, witty, charming, and real. I ABSOLUTELY LOVED the narration. How the voices switched with each character is something you don't see often & it truly enhanced the experience. The one negative thing I have to say... It wasn't long enough. Though the story was complete, it was so great that I didn't want it to end! ❤️❤️❤️
