What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a unique and twisted audiobook with successful character development. However, some reviewers felt that the violent scenes could have been more vivid and powerful, and the exploration of the character's sexual gratification aspect was too brief. Overall, the book was considered good but fell short of being great. Some readers also felt that the book was too short and rushed. Despite these criticisms, it is still a good read.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5In this unique and twisted audiobook, the author had to first develop the main character into his original persona. Then, he needed to develop the character into his different, climatic personality. I believe that was successfully done. But where I believe it fell short was in some of the violent scenes, where the author could have made it more vivid and powerful...he was very brief in touching on a sexual gratification aspect of the character as his violence mounted, but quickly moved away from that. It could have seriously driven the plot if he did. It was good, but I thought it could have been great. It was almost too short, and maybe a little rushed. A good read, but it fell flat for me.
