    Terry Brandt plays role-playing games, passing his time in the pursuit of imaginary contests with monsters and magic. Aging and depressed, he works a dead-end job, lives with his father, and enjoys a romantic life that could best be described as empty.

But as violence endangers everything surrounding her, Dani finds she will have to decided what price she is willing to pay to stop a lurking evil beyond anything she has ever known.
