      This series was so great. Never a dull moment. I enjoyed every book. One of the best series I've listened to in awhile.

      This book, in particular, is teeth bitingly annoying. Everybody talks big game until it's time to actually do something. Supporting characters are being taken or killed by the warden, and the guards and the crew can't figure out their head from their behind. They drag their feet on everything every decision. I want somebody to believe in themselves and tear everybody off the map. I think I'm over Charlie. Nope, I'm over both Ava Marie and Charlie. And if I hear how the employees of the institute are "cruel" one more time... like duh. They have shown themselves to be scum since the beginning.

      This is the series to end this entire series, the final war. However, the authors got too wrapped up in PC issues. Pushing them down the readers' throat and making the actual storyline a secondary purpose of the storyline. The heart-stopping scenes in previous books are few in these, and the build of the characters are all PC related and leave us wanting more. Also, as a person with dyslexia (not an able body person), the conversations with "they" and "them" when speaking of a certain person caused me to get confused and made it hard to follow. Also, I had a brother in a wheelchair with a severe form of CP, so I'm very sympathetic; however, books help people escape reality, not have it forced down their throat. I've read every book in this entire series and have been truly let down with how it's ending. The heart stooping scenes with villains aren't there, and I don't care about these characters as I have characters in previous books. This should have been the best in the series, but it's definitely the worst.
