About this audiobook

SANDEN

When it’s your job as groomsman to tell the groom his wedding isn’t happening, the smartest thing to do is get it over and done with and then tell the guests to leave.

Yeah, well, I never said I was smart.

I might … accidentally, maybe on purpose, suggest to Remy that the best form of revenge is to have a party anyway. I mean, he’s already got catering, a DJ, and guests, so what better time to throw a petty party?

My loser high school friend never deserved him anyway. If I’d had the chance, I would have locked Remy down years ago.

Only, when the party leads to a drunken kiss, going on their honeymoon, and sharing their marital bed, I have to say, I’m not entirely sad that their wedding went up in flames.

The narrators sounded identical. It was supposed to be a duet narration, but it just didn’t hit. The book was OKAY, but it was a weird pace and had some interesting phrases throughout

    I had a good time.
This is Sanden from Gabes firehouse and work husband. He is finally getting his guy, or is he? Remy gets left at the altar by his self-centered fiancé . Sander steps in and is his friend and support system thru it all. It lights up quickly, and then they both realize it may be to quick
It's very sweet, sometimes spicy and lots of mental health building.

Good enough to listen to but not as well written as other books about this extended group of characters. Narrators did not distinguish between different character voices, making it difficult to keep track of who was "speaking." Topics covered are important so thats good. Worth a listen but at 1.2 speed or more.

A little more angst than you’d expect from a Saxon/Eden story but it was fun and upbeat. For the most part the narrators did a great job but (and probably because I love Gage ) the tone for Gage was off

Another winner by Saxon and Eden! And the duet narration by Tim and Liam is chef’s kiss!

Agree with Kayleigh's review. Narrators sounded very much alike but were also very boring in their narration. It was like they forgot they're supposed to be voice acting. I actually found myself drifting off so many times I had to stop listening and move to a more enthusiastic narrator. Didn't hate it, but have no recollection of the 4hrs I listened to it.

Phenomenal narration and a surprisingly deep story. These 2 are everything and SO ? TOGETHER

This book is sooooo angsty. Way out of the norm for these two. It also felt a bit directionless for much of the book. More meandering while the authors trauma dump on the readers. They did a great job of depicting emotional abuse, huge TW for anyone that has been in a relationship like that. These two definitely shouldn't have ended up together, the authors really smudged the conclusion to make it work. There final character growth was more telling than showing, so the reader doesn't really know if it happened. That's not a big deal for their usual lighthearted books, but this one is way heavier and needed that character growth demonstrated.
