- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great explanation of the Beatitudes’ meaning in 1st century Judea as well as wonderful examples of application to life today. Preached in the later part of Fr. Crosby’s life, much wisdom is yielded to those Catechized both before and after the second Vatican Council. Much emphasis on our role in Catholic social Justice was explained. This was particularly insightful as Crosby has a master’s degree in economics. Each Beatitude has at least two lectures-one for the phrase for the Blessed and one for their reward. I thoroughly enjoyed listen and probably will listen again in a year or two.
