About this audiobook
As a lethal plague sweeps through the land, Ani Mells is shocked when she is unexpectedly captured by the governor's wardens and forced to submit to a test for the deadly Scourge. She is even more surprised when the test results come back positive, and she is sent to Attic Island, a former prison turned refuge - and quarantine colony -- for the ill. The Scourge's victims, Ani now among them, can only expect to live out short, painful lives there. However, Ani quickly discovers that she doesn't know the whole truth about the Scourge or the Colony. She's been caught in a devious plot, and, with the help of her best friend, Weevil, Ani means to uncover just what is actually going on.
But will she and Weevil survive long enough to do so?

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really enjoyed this but I do think it would have been better with a different narrator. There were points in the delivery that I really cringed at. However the actual story is awesome and I love the little spitfire protagonist

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5A little different than some of her other books, but enjoyable. I don’t know why some people are complaining about the narrator, because she was amazing! Over all a good book
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Only listened to this book because Brittany Pressley is the best narrator of all time. And I'm glad I cause this was a pretty good book just to much romance.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It was a good story but It could have been better if it was narrated in a bit different way or perhaps a different narrator. During the last chapters, I just wanted to get over with it and did not want to leave it unfinished.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The story line was great, it just polled me in. There was a little to much romance in there for me though.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really liked this audiobook a lot. Let me just say that as a start with that. It was a great ,interesting storyline that had me cought I soon as I read the preview. When i started listening to it and immediately liked the chacters Anee Weevil
etc. won't spoil. It was great having something nice and interesting to listen to while I knit and draw ,paint etc. The story is quite fast paced , heartfelt and had enough mysteries to keep me entertained! As I finish off I can safely say that this is a great read and listen. Why not try it out today.? - Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5The Scourge, by Jennifer A. Nielsen, was one of the kind of books that you just can’t stop reading. There are twists at every chapter and I actually couldn’t put it down. I know a lot of parents who want to know if it’s ok for kids, and what age the book is for. I would say this book is for at least 9 to 12. It doesn’t have any curse words and it’s a very clean book. I would read this book lots of times. Overall, I know many people adored this book as I did
