What our readers think
Readers find this title to have a nice idea but terrible story telling. The narrator's voice is described as stupid and like a bad actress reading to children. However, some readers find the book surprisingly well-developed considering its length. Overall, the narration is criticized for being immature and stilted, with wrong inflections in many parts.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Surprisingly well-developed considering how short it is.
I’d read another, but I’d try hard to do it any other way than with this narrator. Not good. Immature and stilted reading skills gave wrong inflections to many parts. - Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5A stupid book. I couldn't even finish it. The voice of the narrator was stupid, too. Like a bad actress reading to children.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Nice idea but terrible story telling. The narrator sounds as though she is used to talking to pre-schoolers. Gave up after two chapters. The book had great potential with the thought of gaining psycic ability with eye surgery. Unfortunately the actual story telling was not great, jerky and seemed as though th eauthor keptwriting things before realising it didn't go with a previous observation and thought up and excuse quickly. I might have stuck it out if it wasn't for the awful over emphasis fnthe narration. I felt like asking if it was playtime yet!
