    On February 29, 1948, Richard Wurmbrand was arrested by the secret police. His crimes? Leading Christian worship and witnessing—both of which were illegal under the atheistic Communist regime of Romania.

    Richard spent fourteen years in prison. He was tortured, beaten, and locked into a  solitary confinement cell. Sabina Wurmbrand spent three years in a labor camp,nearly freezing to death as she and other prisoners worked on the Danube Canal. She was repeatedly told her husband had died behind bars.

    But Richard and Sabina Wurmbrand had an unshakeable faith in Christ. Neither of them gave up hope, and neither of them would stop talking about Jesus.

      I enjoyed this book. It challenged me in my faith as an American Christian. One of the things that stood out to me was when Pastor Wurmbrand had said that no suffering in a christian's life is not good.

      I think this book will bring people to Christ. Also I believe Christ wrote it through Richard and it shows true Christian love between a man and a woman Anyone who listens or reads this book will be effected. The Glory of God marches on.

      As we see the rise in Marxism in today’s culture this book is a must read!! The church in the west is in a state of spiritual slumber. This book is a wake up call.

      The best Christian book I’ve ever read- truly changes your perspective as an American Christian and makes you really understand what it means to be blessed while you suffer and to hold fast to Christ above anything this world can offer. What an incredible testimony. I couldn’t stop reading (listening!)
