Reviews for Beyond the Looking Glass

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5The beginning of this book provided a validating portrayal of the signs and symptoms of living with a narcissist. However the reason I picked up this book was I wanted to get advice on how to navigate life after the divorce, and coparenting our child. This book provided no insights in my opinion on how to coparent with a narcissist. In fact, everything that was mentioned was textbook advice you would find in any advice book for parents going through a divorce. Divorcing and co-parenting with a narcissist is NOT possible in the ways outlined in this book. A narcissist must be winning at all times and does not believe in fair negotiations, in the best interest of the child. In this regard, this book did not help with anything of specific value. Dealing with a narcissist in the aftermath of divorce and child custody needs very specific strategies.
