      Slooooooow Burn. The narration was *chefs kiss*. The story... Was.... Meh. It felt like it took forever to get into the plot or determine if there was a plot. Had I not been listening to it in audio form, I would have put the book down and walked away. I felt like the last few chapters are when the story got good and there could have Def been more to get us there, but then like most good things, it was over in an instant.

      The chemistry between the two characters was gold. The darkness drew me in and kept me riveted. The comedic parts had great timing and left me chuckling still. I wholeheartedly enjoyed this book and it will go in my personal permit library.
