His relatives often passed time by sharing stories about their experiences in the South during the pre-civil rights era. These stories had a profound effect on Lynn, and greatly influenced his decision to become a writer. Captivated by their narratives of life with Jim Crow laws, Lynn drew inspiration from these conversations he overheard. He has written two novels that touch on themes of love, strength, determination, and the bonds of family.view less
