About this ebook
It sounds like her, has her laughter and her pain. But it isn’t her. Or is it?
This is a play about Suzy, though...not really. It’s a play about things that may, or may not have happened in her life. It’s her voice alright, the way she normally speaks, perhaps a bit louder. And it’s the way she moves. It’s definitely her laughter, her smile. And when she gets angry, maybe that’s real too.
Or maybe not.
"He sits there scribbling down every word I say then goes off to his garret to produce his masterpiece of theatrical fucking immensity and what is he actually doing?
What is he actually doing?
I’ll tell you what he’s actually doing - he’s stealing my life..."

‘Towards the Inevitability of Catastrophe’ was first performed at The Lemon Tree, Aberdeen (Scotland) on 27th October, 2009 with the following cast:
Suzy: Suzanne Enoch
The Writer: Colin Garrow
Characters
Suzy – An incredibly beautiful young woman with red hair.
The Writer – We only see him briefly and in the half light between scenes, so the play is really a one-woman show with a few shadowy interludes.
This is a play about Suzy, though…not really. It’s a play about things that may, or may not have happened in her life. It’s her voice alright, the way she normally speaks, perhaps a bit louder. And it’s the way she moves. It’s definitely her laughter, her smile. And when she gets angry, maybe that’s real too.
Or maybe not.
