About this ebook

Those who are lost in sin
and cannot find a way.
Come read the poems I've written;
come hear the things I say.

They will show God loves you,
He understands your needs.
He'll give you everlasting life,
from sin He'll set you free.

Please read my humble works –
you might find a part of you –
I hope they will encourage
and help you see life through.

We come to a place in our life where we need to make a choice. Helplessness, hopelessness, becomes that heavy load we can no longer carry. Perhaps you need a new direction. The choice is yours, but I hope this helps you find the answers. It might even be your Turning Point.

    About the Author

    Forever More

I sit dying in each second

    because I miss You so.

What can I say to You

    that You don’t already know.

    I’m proud of my sobriety.

I gave up my evil life

You help me to clean up

    all my life of strife.

    You understand my darkness

    You’re sharing in my pains

    You have kept me

    from blowing out my brains.

    Now I kneel before You

    to ask You once again.

    That You save me from

    this vacant life I’m in.

    Take me to Your side

    as You done before.

    So I can love You

    for now and ever more.

    Up

    Wow!!

    Father I’m dumbfounded

    by the tolerance You show.

    I thought You’d started over

with all the things You know.

    I know I’ve been created

    by Your tender hands.

You gather me from the dust

You call my name as man.¹

From the start I am a sinner

my will for good is weak.

I know You could stop it all

with just the words You speak

    But You have given me

a gift that is my own.

    Even as I stumble ‘round

    You will bring me home.

    Surprisingly I find

    forgiveness constantly.

I can’t seem to get it right

yet You’re always there for me.

    The amazement that I feel

as I stand and shake my head.

    For without Your tender mercy

I know that I’d be dead.

    I stand here confounded

at how You look at me.

    By now I’d given up

on his failure that I see.

    You don’t see this flaw

You see me whole and pure.

You help me walk a better walk

cause that’s what friends are for.

    Up

    1 Genesis 3:19 paraphrased

    God’s eye

I used to counsel all the time

listening to people was just fine.

I tried to tell them there is life

it’s not always toil, and strife.

The only reason I can speak

once I too lived on the street.

I know how it makes you feel

all used up not being real.
