    Caroline Boykins lay in the middle of her bed with her hands clutched over her heart. Tears stung her face. One look at the mountain of photos strewn around would quickly explain why. These days were always the hardest. The days that were most significant to them. Birthdays, and holidays had their share of harsh realities, but it was this day, their anniversary, that always took the cake. Caroline didn't know how she would ever get passed the yearning in her heart for something that would never return.

    There was a mountain of laundry to be done. Not to mention the dishes that were stack on the kitchen counter downstairs. In spite of her aching heart, there was still so much around her that needed to be addressed. In her head she knew this, but she couldn't move. Every muscle in her body ached and longed for him. Everything else seemed inconsequential. She couldn't concentrate on getting the everyday basic's done when she had so much swirling around in her head. Caroline felt defeated.
