Stieg Larsson (1954-2004), a Swedish journalist and the founder of Expo magazine, became internationally renowned thanks to his Millennium trilogy which was published posthumously between 2005 and 2008. Stieg Larsson was an author who we know little about, as he died suddenly in 2004, shortly after giving his manuscript to his editor. He was mainly known in Sweden for his journalistic investigation work and for his commitment to fighting the extreme-right and racism, which earned him many death threats. His sudden death created a mystery around his works and
