About this ebook
GBH
‘The Led Zeppelin of punk.’ Robert Plant.
GBH aren’t just a punk band, they’re legends.
For over thirty years, they’ve been making music, making friends, and making trouble.
They’ve toured the world, but stayed true to their Birmingham roots.
In this book, bassist Ross Lomas tells his story.
It’s the story of how punk rock, and love, saved his life.
Ross Lomas
Ross Lomas has been playing bass in legendary Birmingham punk band GBH for over thirty years. ‘City Baby’ is a searingly honest account of Ross’s life, from growing up in Sheldon to years spent touring the world and playing to audiences of thousands. There are - of course - hilarious tales of excess, but Ross also talks openly about the dark times that came along with life on the road. Candid and entertaining, the book will appeal not only to fans of punk rock, but to anyone who enjoys a good story, well-told.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I enjoyed this so much. I’ve loved GBH since 1983. To hear the stories of the road and struggles the band fills in the blanks of these legends. It was a great read. Concise without a wasted word. It reminded me of a punk rock ham on rye of Bukowski. Thank you for writing the book Ross. You’ve lived an adventure.
