About this ebook
Crave frontman, Apollo Crave, loves his rock star life of groupies, paparazzi, and more women than he knows what to do with. When a fan wins a dinner date with him, naturally, he thinks he's in for another wild romp with a slim, sexy fan, not a woman like Dorothy. His shock and years of living it up on the road have clouded his judgment and made him forget his manners. During the date, he does the worst thing possible and is left scrambling to right the wrong. Little does he know, the woman he tried to reject will be the woman he can't live without.
Dorothy doesn't have a problem with who she is and what she looks like. When she wins the dinner date of a lifetime with the sexy Crave frontman, she knows she's in for a night to remember. What she didn't know was just how horribly wrong her night will go. Before the night is over, she's insulted, embarrassed, and steaming mad, but that's not the end of her once-in-a-lifetime date…
Guilt, curiosity, and feelings no one could've expected change everything for the bad boy rocker and the strong-willed, curvaceous woman who can't help but wonder what if.
Can Apollo ever make amends for his bad behavior and share a happily-ever-after with Dorothy?

Apollo
"The last time I talked to you, you were whining like a bitch." I get up and grab another imported beer from Brian’s fridge. I can always count on Thomas to stock the good shit.
Yeah, I know,
says Brian. You’re not the first person who noticed.
What the fuck was the problem?
With the beer bottle in hand, I drop back on Brian’s new leather sofa.
Me and my girl weren’t clicking, but we’re cool now. I can’t wait for you to meet her.
What girl? Jane?
Her name is Jill.
Jane, Jill, whatever. I can’t remember every chick’s name, you know?
Brian laughs. Yeah, I bet you can’t, Allan.
Don’t call me Allan. You know my name.
Brian laughs again. You’ll always be Allan to me. It’s good to see you before your tour. When did I see you last? About three years ago?
Yeah, man. It’s had to be about that long. We’ve known each other since we were kids. I had to check-in. You know I’ve got mad respect.
Same. Coming from that neighborhood, who would have ever guessed we’d make so much dough?
Yeah, but you were the curly headed nerd. Me? I bet they all thought I’d be in jail or dead by now.
That’s true.
I look at my phone. Fuck! Joe’s texting me again. Dude’s been on my ass all day. He wants me to come into the studio. I guess I better bounce.
I down my beer. Bring your girl to one of my shows. We’ll have a backstage party.
All right. Sounds like a plan.

My driver was supposed to take me to Brian’s, but I ditched him, without him knowing it, and got in my red Maserati instead. I could speed like fuck in this thing if I wanted to, but I’m just cruising. I never get to drive my cars, and I want to enjoy this. Whatever Joe’s got to say to me can wait.
I’m Apollo Crave; I’m 28, and I’m the founder of the rock band Crave. I’ve known Brian since we were toddlers, a long fucking time. Dude’s got more money than God, but I’m doing okay for myself. I’m a singer and a songwriter, and I’m a pretty decent actor. I’ve been in eight films.
I taught myself how to play guitar at 10-years-old, and I’ve been making music since I was 12. I never cared about school. All I wanted to do was make music. By the time I was 14, I had a garage band going. My parents weren’t feelin’ it, though. They never did. All they did was complain about the noise and complain about my bad grades. When my dad found some weed in my backpack, they really went crazy.
At 16, I met Greg Morrison, the bass player for the band that would become Crave. He’s the same age as me, and he had already been kicked out of the house for drugs. School wasn’t his thing either, and he was going to school even less than I was. We had a lot in common, especially our love for making rock music. We knew we had to ditch Ohio if we were ever going to do anything with it.
So at 18, we bought a cheap car that took us all the way to California. We slept in that car, worked shitty jobs to pay for food, and continued to make music. During that time, we met drummer Andy Wilson and guitar player Eddie Finn and soon after, Crave was born. Warner Bros. took a liking to us right away. So it didn’t take long before we were signed with a major label. It’s been one hell of a ride ever since.
Is rock dead? Is shit music the thing now? Not for us. We’ve kept our sound fresh, and that’s why they still love us.
"Apollo, sit up. I want to speak to you face to face for once."
My manager doesn’t like it when I’m stretched out with my eyes closed when we’re supposed to be having a meeting. I would sit up if I weren’t so tired. I was okay earlier, but it’s starting to catch up to me. Last night me and the band partied until dawn. I haven’t been to bed yet.
I open my eyes. Joe’s a little guy with short blond hair, glasses and a bow-tie. He’s organized as shit, which is good for me: I can’t lie. But when he gets mad, he looks like a kid who lost his candy. Just spit it out, Joe. Quit riding me.
Have you been drinking?
Pretty much. Partied last night and just came from Thomas’ condo. Billionaire’s don’t drink shit beer. I had to down a few.
You should have let Chris drive you. How many times do I have to remind you that you’re one of the most famous singers in the world?
Nobody noticed me, Joe.
He laughs. Nobody noticed you in a red sports car?
What did you want to talk about? I don’t have all day to sit here.
Yeah, all right. Remember that contest we ran three months ago?
What contest?
We ran an international contest for one lucky woman to win a date with Apollo. That’s you, the rock star Apollo!
I know who I am. What about it?
You’re scheduled to go on a date with her this Friday.
Is she hot?
I don’t know what she looks like! You’re meeting at a restaurant. It’s only for an hour and the press will be there.
Seriously, man? Come on! Why do you set me up for this shit? Can’t one of the other band members do it?
No! One of the largest companies in the world is the sponsor. This is a paycheck. Get it? You need to follow through.
How much am I getting?
A couple million. Don’t fuck this up!
Yeah, yeah, I’ll be there. Get me a hotel room.
