Trees are of great importance to all people and have been throughout all of history. They provide many things including their beauty, shade, food, lumber for building furniture and homes, and for heating when harvested for fuel. And they play an important part in making clean air. Trees in the forest provide safe haven for many of the larger animals. Trees in all areas provide shelter for birds of all sizes.
People spend a vast amount of money annually to acquire trees for their beauty surrounding homes and buildings.
This is a story about a notable apple tree, as well as some other trees which were her neighbors. Also, you will be given information about trees that have become victims of progress and ended up as driftwood.
Trees are of so much interest because of their many uses. And there are many different kinds of trees, various sizes and uses of the wood. The same trees are not necessarily found in every Country because some of them only grow in certain climates. Trees that you will read about are common to the growing area of Northern United States.
