About this ebook
Why did I ever start smoking? When I stop to think about the mechanics of smoking, it's logically ridiculous. But if I let go of logic, I simply loved it. There's just something about it. This isn't one of those, point your finger in your face, books about quitting smoking. The truth is... there are 1 billion people on the planet who love to smoke. If smoking weren't enjoyable, people wouldn't have such a hard time kicking the habit.
10,000 Drags Later is an easy read story about my personal relationship with smoking and the journey of how I used special techniques to quit the habit over time. Through my story, I hope to inspire you to cultivate a life that you choose to live instead of living the life chosen for you by nicotine.

Hi, I’m Keri. I’m in my mid 30’s, and I’m a proud pet parent to a beautiful 90lbs bulldog mix. I’m an artist, a singer, a web designer, an auntie, a sister, and a daughter. I have less than 1000 followers on Instagram. I secretly hate facebook, and I haven’t figured out how to use TikTok yet.
For a farmer’s daughter who grew up on free school lunches in a town of fewer than 900 people, I’ve had somewhat of an exciting life. I started singing at the age of two. I was signed to a Christian record label by the age of fifteen. I toured Europe in the early 2000s with a top 10 radio hit. I've traveled all parts of the US in a 1984 tan chevy van and a few months on a tour bus with my mom and two best friends, doing what I loved to do.
I was a talented singer, but I can comfortably give credit to my amazing and creative parents. They sacrificed their hard earned money to help grow my experience of being in front of an audience. They are incredible, and I’m so thankful for them!
In my mid 20’s after attending two bible schools and working for two mega-churches, I left the Christian scene. I took out a loan for a college program that promised to help me become a rockstar. Through that program, I started my own band and experienced a little bit of local success.
I’ve had 26 roommates, 28 living addresses and 20+ bosses. I’ve always been an hourly wage hustler who at times had to hold down 3 jobs to pay the bills because I didn’t have the confidence to speak up for myself. When I started my journey of quitting... ironically, I hung up my dreams of being a famous singer. I’ve spent the
