Yogi Bhajan was declared a Master of Kundalini Yoga at the age of 16. He came to the United States in 1969 and openly taught this transformative technology for the next 35 years, until his last breath in Aug 2004. In the turbulent drug culture of the 70s, Yogi Bhajan first reached out to the youth. He recognized that their experimentation with drugs and "altered states of consciousness" expressed a desire to experience themselves and a longing for family, for connection to their soul and their community. In response to this innate longing, he created a family known as 3HO (Healthy, Happy, Holy Organization). Soon, 3HO ashrams began springing up across the United States and throughout the world. He sparked a movement whose tendrils have woven their way into numerous aspects of our culture. Yoga and meditation have gained widespread acceptance in the West and the holistic health movement he introduced through diet, herbs, and lifestyle technologies. Born Harbhajan Singh in what is now Pakistan to a family of healers and community leaders, Yogi Bhajan studied comparative religion and Vedic philosophy in his undergraduate years and received his Masters in Economics with honors from Punjab University. Years later, he earned his Ph.D. in communications psychology from the University of Humanistic Studies in San Francisco. Yogi Bhajan emerged as a religious, community, and business leader with a distinguished reputation as a man of peace, world vision, wisdom, and compassion. He founded several food companies that manufacture and distribute natural products based on these teachings. He fostered economic development in communities around the world. He is also the author of several books on yoga philosophy, business, and communication during his lifetime. The Kundalini Research Institute continues his legacy through The Yogi Bhajan Library of Teachings, the International Teacher Training in Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan®, and the publications of lectures and kriyas to serve the community of teachers, students, and practitioners around the world. Blessings - PhD Yogi Bhajan

    Bountiful Blessings

    April 20th, 1982

May God bless you and brighten your day and brighten your night and brighten your life, because in darkness we find nothing. Though all things are there, to the unacknowledged mind there is no happiness. So may we pray that God must provide us with peace and tranquility, and protect us and provide for us on the road and path of our commitment so that we can be healthy, happy and holy. May our health be beautiful, may our happiness be eternal, may we know and merge in the holy divine identity of God. Please pray that all who need to be healthy, happy and holy may be blessed by His divine grace. And please pray, as the drums of war are around us – whether we hear them or not – let His divine Self forgive this world and let the peace prevail. Sat Nam.

You are very generous, Oh God. There are many, many people in many, many ways, but we thank You for guiding us through Your grace and through Your protective hand. We are not the special ones but we are the humble ones. We seek Thy light and Thy guidance. Through Thy grace and through the power of prayer, may man live in peace and tranquility. As You have guided us now, guide us forever. May Thy hand protect us now and forever and may we dwell in Thy grace. Sat Nam.

Blessed is my soul to have the human consciousness. Blessed is my soul to have the body born in the land of the free and the home of the prayer. Blessed is my soul to have brought me to the gate of the Guru to practice Dharma. Blessed is my soul to understand the law of Infinity. Sat Nam.

    November 15th, 1983

May the blessing of the Guru become the song of God. May the heart be filled with the Word of the Guru. May the grace of the Guru lead us to the Infinity of wisdom and prosperity and health. Sat Nam.

    February 25th, 1982

Blessed is my God, blessed is the self, blessed is the realization of this union, and blessed are those who seek peace within and without. May the hand of God guide us, protect us and be with us all the time, and may we always seek the hand of God for protection and for guidance. May this day uplift our soul and consciousness, that we may realize peace forever and ever. Let us all pray that this planet Earth may be left in peace and harmony, and that the glory of God may prevail to save it from all disasters. May the breath of life give us health and happiness. Sat Nam.

    May 17th, 1982

Bless us, God, with Thy virtues. Bring peace to the earth. Bring us into a state of kindness and courage, so that we can live righteously and in Thy grace. Make us healthy, happy, and holy and give us virtues, so we can pay our homage to Thee in exchange for this life. Sat Nam.

Inhale and hold the breath and pray on this breath: Oh my breath of life, the gift of God – when you leave me and join the universal breath, give the message of life and happiness of life to all. Let it go.

Inhale deep and pray on this breath: Oh my breath of life, oh divinity of God which has come to me give happiness to all when you breathe the universal breath and roll on the universe. Let it go. And now inhale, inhale deep and hold this breath and pray on this breath: Oh my breath of universal infinity of consciousness you have come to me in love and guidance. When you leave me and join the universal breath, may all the living and non-living here and hereafter be happy. And let it go.

    July 28th, 1994

Bless my soul. Bless my Self. Purify my mind and consciousness. Give me the ecstasy, beauty and bounty, blessing and bliss, so I may walk on my path – so I may walk on my path as the pure Self within the self now and forever. Sat Nam.
