    FOREWORD

Permit me to state emphatically that this book is not just for people living in diaspora like the writer pointed out, but helpful to everyone of any location. Let me go further to say that people living in other climes, be it Africa, Asia, etc., will also find this book helpful. An average young adult in developing and underdeveloped countries nurses the ambition to travel abroad. Sincerely, this book came at the right time, as it is a guide to me on the gains and travails of living in diaspora, and ways to surmount the hurdles while relying solely on God for direction.

The writer kept on emphasizing the need to continually seek God’s face and be where God wants you to be, irrespective of the clime. The mindset of an average Nigerian who wishes to travel abroad is based on the idea that life is better and easier in the diaspora than Nigeria. Very true, but the writer has pointed out clearly that living abroad has its untold stories.

For people already living in diaspora, this book is timely as it touched the major areas of life that will either make or mar a man, be it job, family, marriage, etc. It proffered ways to surmount major challenges in those areas, which I found helpful. Without any iota of doubt, this book was divinely inspired. I love the fact that the book was written with lots of Bible illustrations and stories, which showed that the idea was based on the leading and inspiration of the Holy Spirit.

I am touched and impressed at the same time at the fact that the writer of this book used her life and family in all sincerity as an illustration in driving home the important areas we ought not to neglect in our everyday life, even in our quest to be the best we can be and live a good life. I was engrossed while reading and I found it helpful.

I would have loved to read more about the gains and struggles of young foreign medical doctors, specifically in the UK, as it’s a usual trend of young doctors to leave the developing countries due to poor remuneration, infrastructure, etc. to developed places.

In all, this book is all you have been looking for, and a must-read for everyone, irrespective of your age, location, career, etc. Thank you.

    - Dr. Collins Chikereze
